In short, yes, as thrush can lead to nerve damage of your vulva vestibule and a chronic pain condition that can be very hard to treat.

If you are experiencing frequent thrush infections (have had more than 5 episodes in a lifetime), this needs to be treated seriously. Consult a vulvar dermatologist or vulvar pain clinic and discuss how you can get your infection rate down to an absolute minimum.
