Due to cultural taboos, people don't talk about their vulva and certainly don't check their genitals once monthly as recommended by health professionals.

This has lead to poor outcomes – only 1 in 5 women live beyond 5 years after being diagnosed with vulval cancer.

So we've got to make it ok to chat about your vulva and knowing your own normal.
